Twosday: Give or Receive

  • Dec. 15th, 2009 at 3:19 PM
Is it better to...Give or Receive?

Receive*, of course. Anyone with half a brain can tell you that. And if they say otherwise then they're obviously lying...No one actually wants to go out and spend money and deal with all those stupid people at the stores to get you a stupid gift that you'll probably be ungrateful for anyway.

And you know what, I've been a real good boy this year. I would like to receive this:

Doesn't need fancy wrapping, just a bow.

*Unless you get me something stupid. Then it just would have been better not to bother at all. If I get one more box of chocolate covered cherries, those stupid angels made out of kitchen towels and ribbon, or a gift-card to some low-end trashy store I'll snap someone's neck....I SWEAR. I can't even give those away in good conscience.

OOC: New character needs a tag, please =)

charloft Twosday - is it better to give or receive?

[... and how a comment to a lonnng post elsewhere, about how to diddle with the words -- becomes something more; sometimes "giving and receiving" can be so basic that it's "species autonomic"; like how the link-link in our indie heads, bridges space and time to other heads, as naturally as breathing; merry christmas, human peoples]

- ROBIN: Holy, word-shit, Batman, the girl carries on.
- BATMAN: So I noticed.
- R: So, to the question buried in the verbal avalanche, like alpine daisies underneath a ton of letter snow -- "How do you create a likeable character?" -- what's your answer?
- B: You don't.
- R: Oh, puzzle me to the extreme, dark knight with armored lim-ou-sine.
- B: Careful. Don't mock the Batman.
- R: Sorry, calm destroyer of evil in the world.
